I decided to do the "cool" thing on Facebook this year and everyday write what I'm thankful for. I decided to post them all here so that I have something to remind myself of, 24 days of being thankful!
Day One: I'm thankful that I only work part-time so that I get to experience the best of both worlds.
Day Two: I'm thankful for 4 amazing sister in laws and two pretty great brother in laws. Extending families can be crazy, but both of mine are pretty wonderful.
Day 3: I'm thankful for parents that have raised me to be kind, generous, hard-working, diligent, and to have a strong relationship with Jesus. Im very thankful that my parents showed me an example of what a great marriage is.
Day 4: I'm thankful for moments that I can run errands without attached to munchkins.
Day 5: I'm thankful for productive weekends... Spending time with family and getting things accomplished. Plus the extra time to relax :)
Day 6: I'm thankful for my 2 beautiful sons. It's an amazing gift to be a mother and they make every moment filled with hugs, kisses, giggles, cuddling, and playing. There is nothing like being a mom. Thank you Jesus for giving me that gift.
Day 7: Thankful for an amazing, hard-working, caring husband and father to my boys. He is the best man to be married to. We have been married almost 9 years and I have never second guessed that decision to have him as my partner and second half. :) Love love love you Aaron Hinrichs
Day 8: I'm thankful for my inlaws that are not only wonderful grandparents to my boys, but also raised my godly husband. I'm very appreciative of them :) — with Aaron Hinrichs and 2 othersJim Hinrichs
Mary Hinrichs.
Day 9: I'm thankful for my long distance friends and family... The ones that sometimes it seems forever that I see them and time just seems to not have gone by... No matter if they're in Canada, Kansas, California, Idaho, Oregon... I'm thankful for you. I miss you. I love you. :)
Day 10: Thankful for moments when I can go out of town with just the hubby. Even if I do have to work most of the time, it's nice to have time to recharge.
Day 11: Thank you for all of the men and women who have served our country and are currently serving in the military. God bless your sacrifice, dedication, and your families who have supported you. Thank you
Day 12: I'm thankful for prayer and that I serve a God that I can communicate directly to. I'm thankful that people pray for my needs and I'm grateful that people let me pray for them. Prayer is powerful.
Day 13: I'm thankful for my church and church family. Especially since I can't be there today. I'm thankful for wonderful senior pastors and a great place to worship and to encourage me on my walk with God. Thank you staff and volunteers :) — with Matt Messner and Heidi Wilson Messner.
Day 14: I'm thankful for Meghann Mondays :) eating dinner, playing with kids, talking and watching tv shows... After many years, it doesn't get old — with Meghann Dalby.
Day 15: I'm thankful for coffee! Warm, yummy coffee on a frigid day before I deal with my students. Always something to look forward to
Day 16: I'm thankful for my 430 Circuit class. Incredible people, tough workouts (she tried making us do 160 pushups on Mon) and an excellent instructor :)
Day 17: I'm thankful for my friends. Those I've been friends with forever and my new ones. Thankful that we make fun memories like Twilight at midnight. Team JACOB ;)
Day 18: I'm so thankful for moms night out. When I decided to start it up again a few years ago I didn't know what it would turn into. Thank you to the fantastic moms that I can laugh with, pray with, and support.
Day 19: I'm thankful for the health of myself and family. The boys have only had minor sicknesses and I don't want to take for granted how thankful that God has protected us.
Day 20: I'm thankful for a great run on a beautiful morning
Day 21: I'm so thankful for a God who gives me MIRACLES! My extremely important binder from my job was accidentally left at the hotel last weekend, I called the hospital and begged them to look multiple times for it and they couldn't find it. I've been praying all day that I serve a God that can find anything and everything and nothing is impossible with him. They just called me to tell me that they FOUND IT! Filed it under the wrong room number. I'm on cloud 9, I have been trying so hard not to panic. Praise Jesus and thank you God for showing up AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!!!
Day 22: I'm thankful for sleep... Hen has been up the past 4 nights screaming because of his teeth, thankfully he slept 12 hours last night and I feel awesome. Sleep is something you don't take for granted after having kids :)
Day 23: I'm thankful for rainy days: gym, bounce houses, McDonalds, cuddling on the couch watching movies by the fire. :)
Day 24: Thankful that we have holidays so that we can spend time with family and friends :) thank you Jesus for how you bless me every day!
